It's important to know that every care is taken to achieve a professional look to your job, but the crucial work is in the application of the ground- work before hand, this means, all materials are to be fixed to manufactures recommendations  and all fixing is to be conscientiously applied by the tradesman, only then can we be confident that we are supplying  our customers with a long lasting durable product.

Slating

Job Priorities

There are many different types of slate each with their own discipline for installation. Slating can be York stone, Random tonne slate, Welsh size slate and man made synthetic or fibre cement slate to name a few. Each one will create a different look for your property. Most existing slating can be re used but careful assessment must be carried out first in order to provide an accurate quote.

Tiling

Flat Roof

A newly tiled roof will  uplift the look and feel of your home. There are several colours and profiles to choose from, so you can get  the look that you want. If you are looking for something simple then a standard flat tile may be your choice, if you like features then choose from one of the profile range. If a roof structure is complex with many design features then small plain tiling could be the right choice.

Flat Roof

Roofline & Watergoods

Flat Roof

Flat roofs seem to have a bad reputation with some but, as always materials are only  as good as their application. The widely used built up felt roofing can last 25 years plus when applied correctly and possibly much longer with regular maintenance. We prefer to use Firestone EPDM single ply rubber roofing;  it has a life expectancy of up to 50 years, is very  versatile in application, it's maintenance free, and most residential roofs can be covered in one sheet.

Roofline & Watergoods

Fascia, soffits, bargeboards and guttering can all be replaced using coloured upvc  products. These can be replaced at any time but if you are having a new roof installed it may be worth  relpacing the roofline and watergoods. The benefits are; it saves future scaffolding costs, it prevents disruption to the newly installed lower roof courses, and if ventilation is needed for the roof space , a vented soffit is more effective  for  eaves level venting . New  rooflines create a clean and attractive look to your property.

Roof windows

Roofline & Watergoods

Roofline & Watergoods

Roof windows can be fitted at any time but an  ideal time would be when a new roof is being installed. There are several sizes to choose from depending on its use, they can be used for light only purposes for an attic space or an escape route for loft conversions, or light and ventilation purposes on a newly built extension.
